The Lanes for Change transportation program has been designed to address transportation infrastructure needs throughout Ascension Parish. A specific list of projects will be funded by the proposed ½ percent sales tax by resolution of the Ascension Parish Council. The identified projects are intended to provide benefit to all users of the Parish road network, while representing a variety of projects targeting known network deficiencies.

The ½ percent sales tax will be on the November 6 ballot for voter consideration. The proposed tax has a 25 year term and would fully fund the program’s “Primary” projects. Additional “Supplemental” projects are included for the purpose identifying where revenues exceeding the conservative estimates for the tax will be directed.
